PDP Loses Appeal As Oyetola Wins In Supreme Court

An Ile-Ife-born Prince and member of the Elders’ Caucus of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Osun State, Prince Felix Adeyemi Awofisayo has congratulated the state’s immediate-past governor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola and the entire APC family in the state over Governorship Election Petition Tribunal rulingdelivered on Friday.

As contained in the congratulatory message personally signed by the APC chieftain and made available to journalists in Osogbo, the state capital, the favourable tribunal ruling didn’t come as a big surprise to keen political observers in the state, as the governorship election results declared by the electoral umpire on July 17th, 2022 that awarded victory to the PDP was nothing but something contrary to the will of the electorate.

“The gubernatorial election results as released by the Independent National Electoral commission, INEC that awarded victory to the PDP candidate in the election was nothing but mere charade that was against the will of the electorate in the state,” Prince Awofisayo stated.

He therefore charged all members of the APC in the state and their supporters to see the tribunal ruling as the light at the end of the dark tunnel capable of boosting the
party’s chances at the fast-approaching general elections.

“I want to use this opportunity to admonish our party members and supporters to see the Friday tribunal ruling as glorious light at the end of a dark tunnel capable of boosting the party’s chances at the forthcoming general elections.

“No matter how long falsehood persists, the truth shall one day prevail over it,” he stressed.

The APC leader also charged the eligible voters across the state not sell their Permanent Voters’ Card, PVC to any politician, as it remains their only weapon to elect leaders of the choices.

Prince Awofisayo also called on men and officers of the various
security agencies in the state to stay alive to their primary responsibilities of securing lives and property of the state’s residents before, during and after the forthcoming general elections across the country.

“My clarion call goes to all men and officers of the various security agencies in the state to remain vigilant and ensure adequate security of lives and property of all the state’s residents before, during and after the general elections holding across the country,” he emphasized.
