Ogun To Revisit Creative Arts Village

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has announced that the state government would be revisiting arrangements to establish a multi-purpose creative and entertainment village in the state, with an intention to partner with a Special Purpose Vehicle Organisation, Banks and artistes, in order for the vision to become a reality.

Explaining that the project would change the face of entertainment and tourism sector in the country, the governor, who spoke when some indigenes of the State operating their businesses outside the State paid him a courtesy call on Tuesday, said the Creative Arts and Entertainment Village will be located along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

The leader of the team, Mr. Tobi Fletcher, told reporters that the group is made up of indigenes of the state who have made their marks in their respective chosen professions.

Fletcher, Founder of Ofadaboy led others like Olufemi Oguntamu CEO Penzaarville; Oluwatobi Ajayi , Chairman NORD Motion; Broda Shaggi, Comedian; Seun Ajayi, an Actor; Bamike Adenibuyan, another Actor/Entrepreneur; Anidugbe Mofoluwato Uthman, Vice President Fly Boy Inc and Funmi Mustapha,
Media and communications Professional.

Also, in the group are, Olawale Ayilara, and rave entertainer Adedimeji Lateef.

According to Fletcher, “we are young professionals who are indigenes of the state in different fields who want to come home and invest.

“Some of us have done well in our chosen careers and we want to come back and contribute our quotas to make our state great. We have experts in various fields such as education, arts and technology. One of us is a food-preneur that runs the biggest food festival around. We also have real estate professionals among us.

“We have actors and actresses and others across various fields. We are based in different parts of the country; but we decided to come back home in what we call “the home calling”, he said.

He explained that the group with over 50 members that cut across those living in Nigeria and abroad are planning to establish studios for film making, just as they are also discussing with NO
