We Didn’t Raid Tinubu’s Home — EFCC Debunks N400bn Recovery

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) debunks the allegations of conducting a raid and recovering N400bn at the residence of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja, EFCC spokesperson Wilson Uwujaren declared that the commission did not raid the home of the former Lagos State governor while dismissing the claims as false.
“The attention of the EFCC has been drawn to a report circulating on the social media, claiming that operatives of the commission raided the home of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, standard-bearer of APC, in the forthcoming presidential election and recovered a humongous sum of N400 billion.

“The Commission wishes to state that no such operation was carried out by the EFCC. The public is enjoined to disregard the report as fake news,” he said.
