Messi overwhelmingly topped the voting, having inspired Argentina to World Cup glory at Qatar 2022.

The likes of England head coach Gareth Southgate, Germany’s Hansi Flick and Morocco boss Walid Regragui all selected Messi as The Best FIFA Men’s Player.

Messi, of course, could not vote for himself, and he picked Paris St Germain team-mate Neymar as his No.1 pick.

Kylian Mbappe won the vote of his France international manager Didier Deschamps, while his countryman Karim Benzema was the choice of Croatia skipper Luka Modric.
