We Must Avoid Actions, Utterances Fatal To Our Democracy – Gbajabiamila Cautions Politicians

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has urged political actors and other stakeholders in the ongoing electoral process to avoid actions and utterances that will set the stage for interventions that would be fatal to the country’s democracy.
Gbajabiamila who said this on Tuesday in his remark at the resumption of the House from its elections recess urged all those aggrieved with the outcome of the exercise to wait and follow laid down legal procedures to seek redress upon conclusion of the exercise by the electoral umpire.
According to the speaker “The constitution of our republic and the Electoral Act that governs elections in Nigeria both define a framework of post-election dispute resolution and adjudication.

“This framework exists to protect the integrity of our elections” he said.
