No Responsible President Will Wage War Against A Popular Gov Like Adeleke – Tinubu

Nigeria President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has allegedly shocked leaders of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Osun state chapter who paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja on Friday, declaring that he has been elected leader of all Nigerians irrespective of political affiliation.
A credible source among the delegation reported that the team had briefed Tinubu about Osun scenario and the need to deploy the presidential win in favour of the former Governor of the state, Gboyega Oyetola.
The group also sought support of the president- elect towards March 11 state elections, assuring the former Lagos Governor that victory awaits the APC at the State elections.

Tinubu who reportedly listened with rapt attention reportedly told the delegation of his disappointment at their abysmal performance at the last presidential and National Assembly elections, asking them how they failed totally to win a single legislative seat after losing the presidential election.
He was quoted as telling the delegation that “Adeleke has proved his popularity and acceptability, describing the APC in Osun state as too discredited to fight further elections against Adeleke”.

Comparing his time as Lagos state governor under former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, Tinubu told his party men that no responsible president will wage war against a popular Governor like the Osun State Governor
Asking what the delegation expect him to do with such a popular Governor. Tinubu was quoted as declaring himself a newly elected leader of all Nigerians, not just of a section.
He tasked them to go back home and rebuild the party in preparation for 2026 state elections.

Present as part of the delegation to Tinubu are Chief Bisi Akande and other top leaders of the party.
The source reported that immediate governor of Osun Governor Gboyega Oyetola was not part of the delegation.
