Naira Scarcity Fails To Stop Gambling In Osun

Scarcity of naira has failed to stop gambling activities in different part of Osun.

Blaze Newz gathered that Lotto, Baba Ijebu and other online sport betting like ; Bet9ja, Bet King among others all enjoy patronage during the period of cash crunch.

According to Mr Israel, a bookie of Lotto who spoke with our correspondent on Monday confirmed that his customers still patronize him despite scarcity of naira notes.

Mr Israel who lamented slow in the flow of his business ever since the scarcity of naira started said “Lotto players opted for the use of their ATM cards to make transaction for gambling” added that “Some even make use of transfer to make their booking.

Narrating his own experience during the naira scarcity period , a Bet 9ja attender, Mr Bimbo confessed that his customers patronage was low compare to last year.

He said despite few naira in circulation many of his customers still play the bet online and they get their reward online.

“They only need to come to me to print their ticket sometimes” he said.
