Cause Over-voting And Go To Jail- Osun REC Warns Ad-hoc Staff

Osun Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC, Dr Mutiu Agboke has sent a strong warning to ad-hoc staff deployed for the state house of assembly election against causing over-voting.
Dr. Agboke who warned that INEC will not hesitate to prosecute any adhoc staff found wanting said he would not allow the commission under his watch to be given problem after election.
The Osun REC disclosed this,on Friday, while speaking on Rave FM over INEC preparation for Saturday’s house of assembly election.

The REC who explained that it is possible for the adhoc staff to cause over-voting by giving a voter multiple ballot papers or allow them to bypass the Bimodal Verification Accreditation System , BVAS.
Dr. Agboke who admitted that some corps members are yet to under the use of BVAS , stressed that the commission has embarked on retraining them for proper handling of the voting machine.

According to the REC by the training received by the adhoc staff “there is not supposed to be over-voting anywhere.
Blaze Newz gathered that Osun State unlike other state across the country will only be going into the poll to elect members of the state assembly.

26 lawmakers will be going to the poll as some among the contestants are seeking return to the assembly.
