Breaking : Sevilla Sacks Jorge Sampaoli

Spanish club, Sevilla FC have relieved Jorge Sampaoli of his duties as head coach.

This follows Monday’s defeat at Getafe, which leaves Sevilla just above the relegation zone, the club have decided to part ways with the Argentine coach ahead of the international break.

Blaze Newz gathered that this was the second spell of Jorge Sampaoli at Sevilla as head coach.

He led the club to a total of 31 matches since taking over from Julen Lopetegui – nineteen in LaLiga, three in the UEFA Champions League, four in the UEFA Europa League, and five in the Copa del Rey.

The Argentine won thirteen, drew six and lost twelve, and secured a place in the UEL Quarter Finals.

Sampaoli will no longer lead today’s training session, scheduled for 18.00 the club announced.
