Reports that Nigeria trained in darkness ahead of their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea-Bissau have left Super Eagles fans disappointed.
Nigeria reportedly trained in darkness following a power outage at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Tuesday, forcing coach Jose Peseiro to cut short the session after attempts to switch to a power generator proved futile.

The embarrassing incident has left fans feeling the national team was let down and pointed to such occurrences as the reason why some foreign-born players, such as England’s Bukayo Saka, have previously turned down calls to play for Nigeria.
