Mohbad : Adeleke Warns Youths Against Illegal Means Of Earning A Living

An economic historian, Dr. Tunji Ogunyemi had warned Osun Governor Senator Ademola Adeleke against borrowing from banks to pay the state workers salaries.

He said Adeleke should pay salaries based on the money he have and not going to bank to borrow money to settle salaries so that the state will not go bankrupt.

Blaze Newz recalls that, Adeleke was affirmed the duly elected governor of Osun State by the Appeal Court after the former governor, Gboyega Oyetola challenged him of over voting at the three levels of court in Nigeria.

Tribunal panel for the 2022 July 16 governorship election annulled the victory of Adeleke and declared Oyetola as the winner but the Appeal and the Supreme Courts reversed the verdict in favor of Adeleke.

Ogunyemi in his interview on Rave FM Osogbo, Frank Talk Friday’s edition said, Osun Inland Revenue Service should be use to generate more funds rather than borrowing money to pay salaries.

Ogunyemi said, “There must be a moratorium now on borrowing, Osun must never borrow to pay salaries, you pay salary only on what you have not go to bank and borrowing with a due to paying salaries it should never happen.”

He urged Adeleke to approach his predecessor, Gboyega Oyetola to know how he succeeded in paying Osun workers for four years without borrowing.
