Bisi Reveals When Adeleke Will Conduct Osun LG Election

State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Osun chapter, Sunday Bisi has assured citizens of the state that election for the 30 including one area council local government areas will be done soon.

Bisi, who spoke on Oro Oselu program of Rave FM, Osogbo, on Monday said PDP led administration under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke will conduct local government election in due time.

Blaze Newz recalls that local government election conducted by Osun Independent Electoral Commission, OSIEC, under former Governor Gboyega Oyetola-led administration was nulled and voided by a federal high court sitting in Osogbo on November 25 last year which led to the sacking of all elected chairmen and councillors under All Progressives Congress, APC.

Blaze Newz gathered that since the sacking of the local government executives, six months after the third tier of government in Osun is being run without elected officers.

Speaking on Adeleke-led government preparedness to conduct fresh election for Osun local governments, Bisi said once the 8th Osun State House of Assembly is inaugurated on June 6, process to conduct the election will start.
